2026

The recognition, awarded by the Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación (COIT) and the Asociación Española de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación (AEIT), highlights the work of STEM Women Congress in promoting female talent in STEM and creating new role models for girls and young women.

STEM Women Congress has received the “Mención Iniciativa Divulgativa Pioneras_IT 2026”, awarded by the Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación (COIT) and the Asociación Española de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación (AEIT).

The recognition acknowledges the work carried out by STEM Women Congress to promote and increase the visibility of female talent in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, create role models, and bring STEM closer to girls and young women through outreach, awareness and research initiatives.

Today, Global STEM Women brings together a community of more than 10,000 women across 16 countries, connecting professionals, companies, institutions, universities, organisations and public administrations around a common goal: helping to reduce the gender gap in STEM.

The recognition was collected by Celiana Carreño, on behalf of Eva Díaz and the entire Global STEM Women community.

This recognition reinforces the importance of collaboration between professional organisations, companies, institutions, academia and civil society in creating more opportunities for women and girls in STEM and increasing their visibility across the sector.

The distinction is part of the Premios Pioneras_IT 2026, an initiative created to recognise and give visibility to female talent and to projects contributing to the advancement of women in engineering and technology.

For Global STEM Women, this recognition is an encouragement to continue expanding its international work and developing initiatives focused on data, visibility, collaboration and the creation of opportunities for future generations.

Only if we measure, we can change.
