Gladys Choque Ulloa is an award-winning Peruvian statistician, Data Scientist and doctoral researcher in Computer Science at the University of São Paulo (USP), specializing in Artificial Intelligence, computational neuroscience and functional neuroimaging. Her international career spans Peru, Brazil and the United States, with research and advanced training connected to the University of Texas at Austin, MIT, the University of Tokyo and rOpenSci. Her work applies machine learning, causal inference and complex networks to challenges in brain health, environmental sustainability and healthcare innovation. She has received first-place distinctions from MIT, the University of Texas at Austin and USP, as well as the Brazilian Statistical Association’s Best Poster Award. As Founder and CEO of Women in DataLab, international speaker and STEM community leader, she expands access to Data Science and AI education while advancing the visibility and leadership of women in STEM across Latin America and globally.
