Ciência Viva pays tribute to Portuguese women scientists, who represent 45% of the total number of researchers in our country and whose remarkable work has been fundamental to the progress that national Science and Technology have made in recent decades. The book “Women in Science” brings together portraits of Portuguese researchers from different generations and areas of knowledge.

This special thanks to scientists began in 2015 with the photography exhibition Women in Science, inaugurated on March 8 – International Women’s Day, at the Pavilion of Knowledge.
