STEM Women Day Roma

STEM Day Roma

SWD Roma 2025

Rome, May 30, 2025 — The STEM Women Congress made its second Italian stop this year with a vibrant event in Rome, following a successful edition in Bologna. Organized under the banner of STEM Women, the Congress aims to foster inclusion and representation of girls and women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields.

Held in the capital city, the Rome gathering brought together educators, industry leaders, policymakers, and, most importantly, students—creating a collaborative space to discuss gender gaps, challenge stereotypes, and motivate the next generation to pursue STEM careers. Though specific speakers and panels were not publicly detailed, the event’s tone underscored the importance of visibility, empowerment, and strategic partnerships across sectors.

The Roman edition built on the momentum of Bologna’s “Step by Stem” event and aligned with the broader goals of Rete CapoD and other initiatives promoting equal opportunities in STEM through storytelling, mentorship, and systemic collaboration.

Rome’s participation reinforces Italy’s expanding ecosystem of gender-inclusive STEM platforms and signals growing regional commitment to transforming cultural norms and professional landscapes for women in innovation and science.
