Ana Claudia Oliveira Carreira Nishiyama is a Brazilian biologist, professor, and researcher specializing in human and animal biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular and cell biology, and cell therapy. Her research is applied to humans, domestic animals such as dogs, cats, and others. She holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of São Paulo and completed postdoctoral training in biochemistry, biotechnology, and biomedical sciences, including international research experience. She currently teaches and conducts research at the Federal University of ABC, where her work focuses on regenerative medicine, cancer biology, stem cells, biomaterials, tissue engineering, gene editing, and recombinant biopharmaceutical production, and cell communication (extracellular vesicles). She also contributes to graduate education and collaborates with national and international research institutions. Throughout her career, she has combined scientific research, teaching, innovation, mentorship, and science communication, authoring scientific articles, patents, books, and educational materials.
