ABOUT ME

I am a neuroscientist passionate about understanding how the brain works at the synaptic level and how these processes go awry in diseases like Parkinson’s and Multiple sclerosis. My research focuses on uncovering early changes in brain cells that happen before cognitive symptoms appear, with the goal of finding ways to slow or stop disease progression.

Throughout my career, I have work on multidisciplinary teams, combining clinical and basic science approaches to translate discoveries from the lab to potential therapies. Mentoring young scientists and promoting open science are core parts of my work, as I believe in sharing knowledge to accelerate progress.

I strive to inspire the next generation of women in STEM by showing how curiosity, perseverance, and teamwork can drive impactful research that improves lives.
