Edith Guedella Bustamante is an outstanding professional passionate about sustainability and circularity, with 21 years of experience in developing sustainable solutions for infrastructure construction. She is the Head of Sustainability for ACCIONA’s Construction business, where she coordinates the implementation and alignment of all global projects in the field of sustainability.

Throughout her career, Edith has worked as a researcher and innovation manager, creating value through sustainable solutions applied to construction. She is also an expert evaluator for the European Commission in innovation programmes under H2020 and Horizon Europe, as well as an active participant in various national and international standardization working groups related to sustainability in construction and circularity (ISO TC 323, CEN 350). She is also a member of the FIDIC TG 23 Net Zero Contracts working group.

She is part of the Advisory Board of the Master’s in Circular Engineering at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and was selected to participate in the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s From Linear to Circular programme in 2019, as well as in the Homeward Bound programme, which took her on an expedition to Antarctica in January 2025. She is also a member of the steering committee of the Fast Infra Sustainable Label certification system for sustainable infrastructure assets. Additionally, she is a member of WAS and AMIT-MIT.

Edith holds a degree in Environmental Biology and Environmental Sciences from the Autonomous University of Madrid, an International MBA from EOI and the University of Manchester, and a Master’s in Sustainability from the Complutense University of Madrid. She has also completed two executive programmes at UCLA Anderson School of Management: one as part of the SW50 Scholarship on female leadership in corporate boards, and another on Creativity and Innovation in the Organization.
