STEM WOMEN CONGRESS MADRID 2026
Madrid, April 2026 — On April 29, CaixaForum Madrid will host the fourth edition of the STEM Women Congress, an international event that has become a key platform for advancing women’s participation in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Organized by STEM Women Congress Global, the event will bring together business leaders, institutions and professionals to address the major challenges of today and the future from a perspective of diversity, innovation and data-driven decision-making.
This edition introduces a new program structure organized into thematic blocks, allowing for a more strategic articulation of content and a comprehensive view of current challenges. Throughout the day, discussions will focus on data governance, artificial intelligence, health, talent, and the societal impact of innovation, featuring experts from leading companies.
One of the key highlights will be the Ethics Courtroom, an innovative format that simulates a courtroom debate where two teams, representing pro-innovation and pro-regulation perspectives, will confront each other on the limits, risks and responsibilities of technological development. This dynamic session aims to foster critical reflection on the balance between technological progress and social responsibility, with the participation of top-level professionals and evaluation by an expert jury.
The congress will also host the first STEM Awards ceremony of the year in Spain, recognizing the talent and initiatives that are transforming the STEM ecosystem. In this edition, the initiative award evolves into the new concept of Ecosystem Recognition, introducing two categories, Inspiration and Professional Career, thereby reinforcing a more strategic approach to impact recognition. Alongside this innovation, the STEM Woman Award and the STEM Teacher Award remain, consolidating a comprehensive awards structure that recognizes both individual talent and collective impact.
The most significant innovation of this edition will be the official unveiling of the STEM Atlas, a global platform designed to structure, connect and analyze information on STEM initiatives worldwide. The STEM Atlas aims to address one of the sector’s main challenges: the fragmentation of data and the difficulty of measuring real impact. Through this platform, it will be possible to identify regional and systemic gaps, generate comparable knowledge, and enable evidence-based decision-making for both public and private stakeholders. In the coming years, the STEM Atlas will become the foundation for the evolution of the STEM Women Annual Report (SWAR), establishing itself as a global intelligence system designed to transform impact into actionable insights.
STEM Women Congress Madrid 2026 is supported by leading companies committed to innovation and diversity, including GFT, CaixaBank Tech, Danone, Kyndryl, Abertis, Volkswagen, Mur&Partners, Dormakaba, Oracle and Captrain. Their involvement highlights the critical role of the private sector in building a more inclusive, competitive and sustainable STEM ecosystem.
STEM Women Congress continues to strengthen its mission of connecting talent, companies and institutions globally, creating spaces for knowledge, visibility and impact that contribute to reducing the gender gap in STEM and accelerating societal transformation.
