The Garota Tecnológica Program works to promote the inclusion and advancement of women in technology, offering a one-year training program to public school students. The content is divided into two modules.
Module I Content: Microcomputing, UX and Product, Programming Logic, WEB, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and general job market tips.
Module II Content: Information Security, document creation, presentations, spreadsheets, databases, Power BI, SoftSkills, and resumes.
The program was designed by the all-female team at Localiza Labs and is supported by the Localiza Institute. Classes are held at Localiza Labs once a week and last 2 hours each. Module I is taught in the first semester and Module II in the second semester. At the end, the girls can participate in the young apprentice selection process to work in the technology area within the company, in addition to receiving tips for their first job and the job market.
